BREAKING NEWSSSSSS.... BOMB BLAST HITS U.N BUILDING IN NIGERIAN CAPITAL

A bomb blast ripped through the United Nations offices in the Nigerian capital of Abuja on Friday as a car rammed into the building, and witnesses said they had seen a number of dead bodies being carried from the site.
"We have had 10 dead and there could be more," said a medical official who declined to give his name.
One security source in Abuja said he suspected an attack either by Boko Haram, a Nigerian radical Islamist sect, or the North African arm of al Qaeda. Boko Haram's attacks are growing in intensity and spreading further afield.
The U.N. building was blacked from top to bottom and the remains of a car had fallen into the basement. Soldiers, firefighters and rescue workers swarmed over the area.
"A car rammed into the building and exploded. This is very likely the work of Boko Haram and, or, AQIM (al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb) and is a serious escalation in the security situation in Nigeria," the security source said. "This is the worst thing that could have happened."
Ocilaje Michael, a member of the U.N. staff working at the Abuja building, said he had seen a number of dead bodies after the explosion.
"We just saw the blast coming from the building. All the people in the basement were all killed. Their bodies are littered all over the place. I saw about five dead bodies," Michael said. A Reuters witness confirmed dead bodies being carried into an ambulance.
Boko Haram, whose name translates from the local northern Hausa language as "Western education is sinful," has been behind almost daily bombings and shootings, mostly targeting police in the northeast of Africa's most populous nation.

ATTACK ON POLICE STATION
On Thursday Boko Haram bombed a police station and raided banks in a northeastern Nigerian town, leaving 12 people dead including policemen and a soldier.
In Geneva, U.N. spokeswoman Alessandra Vellucci said an official at the U.N. information center in Lagos, Nigeria's biggest city, had confirmed that a bomb was to blame for Friday's explosion. She had no further information and it was not clear who was responsible for the attack.
"We have deployed our policemen and anti-bomb squad. We can't establish how many casualties (there are)," a police spokesman in Abuja said.
Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb operates in neighboring Niger and has kidnapped foreign workers there. However, it was also suspected of kidnapping a Briton and an Italian in Nigeria earlier this year.
In December 2007, a car bombing at the U.N. building in Algiers killed at least 41 people, among them 17 U.N. staff. In 2003, 15 staff and seven others were killed by a bomb attack at the U.N. building in Baghdad.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Sign Prenup

Nothing says I love you like a pre-nup, and recently wed reality star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian has protected her estimated wealth of $35 million by signing one with her new hubby NBA player Kris Humphries, whose net worth is in the single digits, at $8 million.

Los Angeles based Greenberg Glusker law firms family wealth planner Laura Zwicker shared the following with The Hollywood Reporter
Zwicker tells us not to assume that Humphries, an NBA free agent, is necessarily the loser here. The attorney points out that Kardashian has a knack for getting into all sorts of legal trouble from her business ventures, which means she could be one adverse judgment away from seeing her fortune seriously diminished. “He could actually benefit if it clearly delineated that debts and liabilities are actually hers,” says Zwicker.
On the other hand, perhaps it’s not Kim who needs the protection, but other family members who are entangled in business ventures with the 30-year-old personality. Under California law, increases in value of a joint venture during a marriage are considered a couple’s community property, unless otherwise waived in the pre-nup. In other words, the deal may go well beyond protecting the $35 million or so in assets, it might reach further to safeguard the entire Kardashian fortune.
We understand the whole concept or protecting your assets … but whatever happened to good old fashioned love & trust?!?

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Get Married in Front of Hundreds of Close Friends and Family Members

As of this weekend, Kim Kardashian is a married woman now after she and her fiance Kris Humphries made their romance “official” by tying the knot Saturday (Aug 20) at an estate in Montecino, California.
The couple were surrounded by over 400 friends and family as they exchanged vows in a “private” ceremony that will be aired live on TV in October.

Among the guests at the star-studded affair were Demi Lovato, Babyface, Vera Wang, Mario Lopez, Ciara, Carmelo Anthony, Lala Vazquez, Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest, Melanie “Mel B” Brown, Serena Williams, the Lohans (Dina, Ali AND Lindsay), Avril Lavigne and many more.
Kim, dressed in an ivory wedding gown worth around $25,000 and designed by Vera Wang, was walked down the aisle by her stepdad Bruce Jenner.
Kim and Kris’ rings were designed by Lorraine Schwartz, who also designed Kim’s engagement ring.
The wedding party consisted of Kim’s older and younger sisters Kourtney and Khloe, who served as co-maids of honor, and her younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Kris’ sister Kaela, as the bridesmaids.
Also a part of the wedding party was Kim’s younger brother Rob Kardashian (who was a groomsman) and Kim’s almost 2-year-old nephew Mason Disick (Kourtney’s son), who was the ring bearer.
E! will air exclusive footage from the wedding in a two-part TV special titled “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event” on October 9th and 10th.
The latest issue of People Magazine, out this week, will feature exclusive personal photos from Kim’s wedding, as well as tons more details that you won’t get anywhere else.

AMOIZE is your magazine, written by and for Africans just like you. We want your African stories, whether they're funny, sad, frustrating, interesting or simply very real! We want to hear from different cultural viewpoints.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

No one knows Africa like you, so we wouldn't be able to celebrate our premiere issue right without your help. We're collecting African Stories, and we want you to share yours with us. Tell us something about Africa that you cherish. Tell us about the way things used to be, or what you hope they can become. Tell us about a hardship you or someone have faced. Tell us about your hometown, your family and your friends. Tell us what you would like other Africans to know and remember.

Your story can address any aspect of African life and doesn't need to be a masterpiece of proper grammar. It should, however, be about 300 words or more and be told from your point of view.
