Born in 1980 Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria,known commonly as, D'banj is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and harmonica player. "Dapo" is short for the Yoruba name "Ifedapo" (meaning "Love came together").
D'banj is a founder of Koko Foundation for Youth and Peace Development. He is also Nigeria's first United Nations Youth Ambassador for Peace.
